Refund policy
This policy supplements and forms part of our Terms of Service.
At SevenStarsSwords, each product is carefully prepared, inspected, and packed before shipment. Due to the handcrafted nature of our swords and the complexity of international shipping, our return and refund policy is designed to be fair, clear, and practical.
All items shipped from our Asia Warehouse are considered final sale and are not eligible for returns or refunds.
Exceptions — Defective or Damaged Items
Returns or refunds will only be accepted if the item:
- arrives damaged
- has a clear manufacturing defect
In such cases:
- You must contact us within 7 days of delivery
- Please provide clear photos and a description of the issue
After review, we will provide a reasonable solution, which may include:
- replacement
- partial refund
- or full refund (depending on the situation)
🔁 Order Cancellation (Before Shipment)
Orders may be canceled within 48 hours of purchase, provided that the order has not entered the packing or shipping stage.
Customers must contact us in advance to request a cancellation.
- Once an order has been shipped, it can no longer be canceled
- If the order has been packed but not yet shipped, a $40 USD handling and packaging fee will be deducted from the refund
Please note that packing and shipping label preparation are typically completed at the same time, and orders may enter this stage shortly after processing.
🚚 Shipped Orders (Non-Defect Returns)
If the order has already been shipped and the return is not due to a defect:
- Shipping fees are non-refundable
- Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility
- Only the product cost will be refunded after the item is returned
To qualify:
- Item must be unused
- Item must be in original condition
- Original packaging must be included
⚒️ Handmade Product Notice
All swords are handcrafted.
Minor variations are normal and do not qualify as defects, including:
- slight differences in polish or finish
- scabbard tightness variations
- small fitting differences
- minor marks from handmade processes
- variations in weight and balance
These are part of traditional craftsmanship and are not valid reasons for return.
📦 Return Conditions
Approved returns must meet the following:
- returned within the agreed time frame
- unused and in original condition
- securely packaged to prevent damage
We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping method,
as we are not responsible for items lost during return transit.
🛃 Customs & Shipping Responsibility
Customers are responsible for:
- complying with local import laws
- customs clearance
- duties, VAT, and related fees
We are not responsible for:
- items seized by customs
- customs-related delays or rejections
- returned shipments due to import restrictions
Refunds will not be issued for items confiscated by customs.
📦 Lost or Delayed Shipments
Once a package has been handed to the carrier, it becomes part of the international shipping system.
If any issue occurs, we will assist you by:
- checking tracking status
- communicating with the carrier
- providing documentation if needed
However, final delivery outcomes are determined by the carrier and local authorities.
⏱️ Refund Processing
Once a return is received and inspected:
- Refunds are processed within 3–7 business days
- Funds are returned to the original payment method
Please note that processing time may vary depending on your payment provider.
