Designer’s Commentary
The historical inspiration for this sword comes from Qing Dynasty Longquan jian.
For this model, we applied a design philosophy we call the “Chinese Swift Sword”—long, slim, and lightweight, emphasizing speed, precision, and responsiveness.
Compared to our previous version in this price range, the new generation has been further refined:
Overall weight has been reduced
Balance point has been shifted rearward, significantly improving control and handling
The handle and scabbard material have been upgraded from standard ebony to premium black ebony, offering better density and durability
Experienced users will understand the value of upgrading from ebony to black ebony at a very modest increase in cost.
In response to customer feedback regarding the oversized pommel screw on the previous model, the new version replaces it with a rounded rivet-style pommel nut, resulting in a cleaner and more harmonious appearance.
This production run is strictly limited to 10 pieces, making it a rare opportunity for collectors and experienced practitioners seeking a refined, high-performance Chinese straight sword.
